Review mining
Review mining is the collection of customer reviews, ratings and review text from product pages for structured analysis, rather than reading them one at a time.
Review mining is the collection of customer reviews, ratings and review text from product pages for structured analysis, rather than reading them one at a time. It matters in e-commerce data because reviews surface quality issues, feature requests and competitive weaknesses well before they show up in sales or return data. A review mining feed typically captures the rating, review count and review text per product, refreshed on a schedule, which can then feed into sentiment analysis or just be read directly for recurring complaints. It covers your own products as well as a competitor's, since competitor reviews often reveal gaps a new product could fill.
