A product catalog is the complete set of products a business sells or tracks, along with the attributes that describe each one, such as title, brand, price and category. In e-commerce data, a catalog dataset is the base layer most other analysis sits on top of: price monitoring needs a catalog to know what to check, assortment analysis needs it to know what's missing, and enrichment exists to fill gaps in one. Catalogs sourced from scraping reflect what's publicly listed on a store at the time of collection, which can differ from a brand's internal catalog if a reseller has discontinued, mislabeled or added variants the brand doesn't track internally.
